Natural Neuropathy cream

This cream was formulated for someone in my family who developed chronic nerve pain from a bad case of shingles. When nothing else seemed to work, this cream was able to give her some relief.

After quite a bit of research, I was able to come up with a formula that targeted nerve pain specifically.
Castor oil is used because of its content of anti-inflammatory compound ricinoleic acid.
I use a pain targeting herbal blend of: fresh valerian root, hemp flower, st. johns wort, & white willow bark.
I created a blend of essential oils chosen for their antispasmodic, antineuralgic, & anti-inflammatory properties: These include wintergreen, peppermint, clove, rosemary, rosewood, lavender, eucalyptus, & ylang ylang.

As a warning, one of the main active ingredients in this cream is valerian root, which has a very strong earthy smell. Some people may find it unappealing. There are quite a few other essential oils that do cover up some of the valerian smell, but it does come through a bit.
